Bill Callahan Announces New LP, Dream River
Bill Callahan has announced the follow-up to his excellent 2011 album Apocalypse. Dream River is out September 17 via Drag City. The album was recorded at Cacophony, Tex., earlier this year. A press release calls it “easily the most sensual and soulful of Callahan’s career”; he’s also planning an extensive tour this fall.

I saw If We Shout Loud Enough last night (the documentary chronicling Double Dagger’s last tour) and it was excellent.
Highlights
- All the stellar crowd shots that really captured the raw live exburent energy of their live shows
- Solid discussions about the DIY scene and a good overview of how awesome baltimore is
- Opening chords of an Imperial China song heard at a backstage shot of the band at the Black Cat
- Black Cat’s men’s bathroom
- DC being called out in an endearing fashion
Conclusion
Left you feeling uplifted and exicted, like being 16 again and you’ve just discovered a sleugh of albums that seem to get your inner monologue on an audio.
